House Party by Caphlon and William Sonoma
I had won an opportunity to have a dinner party. As a thanks I got 2 non-stick caphlon pans, an AMEX gift certificate for food and some food items from William Sonoma. We invited good friends over and fun was had by all. It was a different and good experience but I never feel like I am as prepared as I want to me. I guess that is the way it goes with 2 little ones, who were and Grandma and Grandpa's house for the night.
5/29/10 Nathan's 3rd Birthday Neighborhood Celebration
Kicking off the party swimsuit style. We invited good neighbors, friends, shoolmates and our favorite Grandma joined us. We did pizza and cupcakes and fun was had by all! Happy 3rd Birthday Nathan!!!!
Of Course Justin and Grandma were having fun!
Adults hanging out in the shade!
Bubble time the kids really had fun with this!!
Neighborhood friends Emma, Abbey and Nicholas
Having pizza with his friends from school!
We went with an easy already decorate big cupcake from Publix to put the candles on. Of course he did not want it and wanted to decorate his own cupcake with all of his friends!
Decorate your own cupcakes was a huge success!
Opening presents with his good friend Nicholas from school!
Nathan liked his Buzz Lightyear Bike!
Justin's first time in the pool at first he did not like it but after a few minutes he was smiling and having a good old time! Daddy was sure happy to see him smiling!
Nathan and his friends had fun playing with his Buzz Lightyear Water Rocketship from Aunt Teresa
5/21/10 Tour of the Capital Building and the Zoo
So today is the day we got to take a tour of the Capital Building. We were meeting Uncle Andrew at the Cannon building to meet up with his friend Tim who works for Congressman Driehaus. We were going to leave the stroller and other items not welcome in the building.
While waiting Justin had a snack...gotta love food on the run. I guess I have no shame!
Nathan ran around the building, no wonders that he did not get stopped by security. While in the building, we told Uncle Charlie not to let him run and man he took off down the hall and Uncle Charlie, who had a wee bit of a headache, could barely catch him. At least he did not get in a cogressman's office :)
Becuase of our guide Tim, we did not have to wait in long lines! It pays to know people!!!
Justin still sleeps anywhere, I guess history is boring to him.
Nathan and Grandma in the middle dome part. Each state gives a gift, thus the statues.
Well this is the only picture from the zoo. I think we were exhausted and just forgot to take more pictures :) We had walked to the subway from the capital building and to the zoo. A busy and wonderful week!
5/20/10 The outer monuments & American History Museum
Jefferson Memorial~ I had foreigners taking pictures of Justin sleeping the the Bjorn. I thought the Bjorn was fairly common but they were staring, pointing and taking pictures like I was the attraction. So don't be surprised if a picture similar to this shows up somewhere.
Chilling in the stroller
When they could take naps anywhere
Happy anywhere!
We found the old steam train
Nathan indoor windsurfing
5/19/10 Walking the Mall
Hanging out at the Washington Monument
Running down the hill from Washington Monument
A view of the White House from the Washington Monument
Nathan leading his own parade!
Rich feeding the birds
Enjoying my time in Grandma's arms, beautiful blue eyes, Justin!
Uncle Andrew even came down for a brief walk.
We sat down for a brief moment for a little break.
